Based on an Article for the Freedom Today Magazine December 2003

"We’re always moaning that political correctness has gone too far.  I actually don’t know anyone who isn’t totally fed up with the whole thing.  Yet finding someone of influence who says what you are thinking is rather like searching for a hair on Duncan Goodhew’s head.

There’s hardly anyone.  This nonsense has somehow become the norm.  How did that happen?  Did we all go to bed one night to the sound of lovely innocent fairy tales to wake up to politically correct horror stories the following morning?

The final, final straw for me (which meant that doing nothing was no longer an option) came when I was having a conversation with an irate taxi driver.  The taxi driver said to me, “Whatever will be next – equal opportunities for gay goldfish?”

My mind swam.  Gay goldfish?  If the politically correct brigade could find a gay goldfish I would have no doubt whatsoever that this could become a reality instead of a throwaway line.  Where would it all end?

I frantically searched all over the place for any sign of groups whose sole mission was to stand up to political correctness just in case I had missed them – but I could only find a disparate few.  On the basis that political correctness seems to have been accepted by all the major political parties (to a greater or lesser degree depending on your persuasion) there was no point looking to them for support – most politicians are too afraid to stand up to this new PC-UK.

So what could be done?

I scratched my head, thought long and hard and decided that we simply had to create a unified campaign to fight against this hideous movement - which is being allowed to undermine our country, its institutions and our way of life.

Political correctness sounds such an innocent term.  But as we all know it definitely is not – nor are its supporters all that nice either for that matter.

It has got to the stage now that anyone who tries to speak out against political correctness simply becomes the next in a long line to lose their scalp to the politically correct lobby and, as long as we - the silent majority - don’t support them, this will always be the case.

But we definitely cannot afford the luxury of doing nothing any longer when…

We can’t fly a Union Jack in case it causes offence.

Parents can’t take pictures of their children doing sports in case they are paedophiles in disguise.

We can’t talk about manholes as this is supposed to upset women (this one really does need explaining to me).

Children are told that they can’t celebrate Christmas at their schools because it could upset other children from different faiths.

We have to ban Punch and Judy shows because they encourage domestic violence.

We can’t call a blackboard a blackboard or use the term “nitty gritty” in case we offend…someone.

Children can’t fail their exams or be allowed to take part in competitive sports any more in case this upsets them too much.

And the list just goes on and on.

Well, enough is enough.

We have to do something and now seems as good a time as any."
