Laura Midgley, Co-Founder of the Campaign
Against Political Correctness, has taken part in several discussions This Morning
- this one was about Christmas political correctness.
Confirming that the Campaign Against
Political Correctness had received e-mails or statements from Muslims, Sikhs,
Hindus and the Jewish community saying that they were in no way offended by Christmas, Laura Midgley said
that it was all too often a few people feeling that they are doing the
right thing by trying to play down Christmas. Lorraine Kelly said
that she thought that it was very patronising for people to decide on
other people's behalf whether or not they would be offended. The
discussion was littered with viewers' own personal experiences of Christmas
political correctness.
